Dear Partners and Friends:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to some, re-introduce to others, and simply share with you some great news concerning the future of Hope For All Outreach Christian Center, a faith-based organization located in the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York. We are approaching our 9th year of operation, and are in the process of enlarging our facilities; as a result of this endeavor, our Outreach Programs and overall capacity to Assist, Equip, and Educate the East New York community at large, will also increase and expand.
Hope For All Outreach Center was founded in 2001, by Apostle Christopher E. Finch. We believe nothing happens by chance. Everyone is created with a God-given purpose. We are committed to Rescuing, Caring, Serving, Teaching, and Equipping lost souls for Kingdom living. Our goal is to reach out to people of all social, ethnic, and economic backgrounds and restore them back to the original purpose God intended for them in creation.
The mission of Hope For All is to build and restore families in the surrounding neighborhoods, while bringing them to the understanding and fulfillment of their purpose. We propose to accomplish this goal by facilitating Family Counseling, Computer Training Courses, Financial Management and Skill Training, Career Development and Preparation Courses, Tutoring Services, GED Test Prep, Life Skills Counseling and a host of other services and programs that will assist in empowering families with Spiritual and Practical Resources to reducing their dependency on the government as a permanent means to their existence. We hope that our effort will reduce the rate of teenage pregnancy, gang affiliation, and separation of families; to name few, now so notorious with the neighborhood.
One of our most passionate programs and ministries is our Youth Ministry, catering to our youth in the community at large. While many of our country’s youth are so advanced with the use and usage of vast and continually evolving technology, their exposure to societal ills are greater and advanced as well, because of the amount of exposure, and accessibility to it. Our nation’s youth are both in danger and in crisis. Teen abortions are approximately ½ million per year, 1out of 4 use illegal drugs, 1 out of 10 have been raped, 40% have inflicted self-injury, and the list of staggering statistics goes on. We propose to counter the effects of societal ills already bestowed upon our Youth with Education, Training, Equipping, and Cultivating Community through Faith.
Our Nation as a whole is in financial crisis. The mortgage crunch with sublime lending and the nations’s skyrocketing unemployment rates have made news headlines in the past few months and even weeks, but too little coverage of the suffering families in this area that have been targeted for these unscrupulous practices, and thus victims, or who have lost their means of income due to lay-offs. While; yes, it is true that this nation is in a recession, it is also true that this recession is acknowledged because financial distress and pressures have infiltrated the economic foundation of the middle class, wealthy, and recently -- corporate giants, but for the already low-income families, the suffering is severe. Many people are facing home foreclosures; if not an owned property, then from simply being a tenant in a foreclosed property. Families are facing hard times, and Hope For All would like to not only be of service, but increase our capacity to serve.
Expanding our facility and outreach initiatives enables us to better fulfill our mission. I hope that you will consider partnering with us or donating a gift to support Hope For All’s growth and ability to serve East New York and its neighboring communities.
